Yang ZHANG (b. 1996) is a Chinese pianist and chamber musician from Sichuan Province. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, while concurrently completing a postgraduate diploma at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music under pianists Agnieszka Przemyk-Bryła, Janusz Olejniczak, and Szczepan Kończal. His Doctor of Musical Arts degree is supervised by Prof. Bartłomiej Kominek.

Zhang earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the Lviv National Music Academy in Ukraine (2016-2022) under Honored Artist of Ukraine Prof. Мирослав Драган Тарасович. He graduated summa cum laude in Piano Performance and Chamber Music, receiving an honors diploma in 2022.

Zhang has been awarded prizes in over ten international piano competitions, including First Prize at the Clara Schumann International Competition (2024), Third Prize at the Vienna Classic Music Competition (2025), and First Prize at the Fanny Mendelssohn International Competition (2025).

He has performed at prominent venues across China, Italy, Finland, Estonia, Poland, and Ukraine, including Helsinki Senate Square Church, Tallinn History Museum, Lviv National Philharmonic Grand Concert Hall, Lviv Organ Hall, Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music, Chopin Salon in Warsaw, Calisia One, Mielec Local Government Cultural Center (collaborating with the Warsaw National Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra), and Ludomir Różycki Concert Hall in Kielce (collaborating with the Lviv Chamber Orchestra).

He has also participated in numerous music festivals, including International Piano Forum "Bieszczady Without Borders," Chopin-Górecki Music Festival, Bisma, Katowice International Piano Masterclasses, Classical Embrace, and Baltic Music Festival.

He has received guidance from internationally renowned musicians, including Dmitri Alexeev, Andrzej Jasiński, Akiko Ebi, Andrzej Tatarski, Grigory Gruzman, Michael Bulychev-Okser, Carlo Palese, Elena Margolina-Hait, Wojciech Kocyan, and Aleksandra Zvirblyte.
